About
It all started when…
About the Founder: Daniel Hylden gave his life to Christ as a teenager. He was involved with Navigators and Campus Crusade for Christ through his university years. While he grew up on a dairy farm in North Dakota, Hylden later moved to Alaska where he became the branch manager for a bank in Petersburg. He was a founding member of First Baptist Church where he served as music leader, youth worker, and finance committee member. Hylden met his wife Carol when she came to Alaska for a summer mission project from Texas. Together they heard the call of God to international missions and moved to Africa to serve in financial accountability with the International Mission Board of Southern Baptists. Hylden has his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and a master’s degree in business administration (4.00 GPA for his MBA). He passed the examination for becoming a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and is a current member of Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. During their years overseas, Hylden planted three churches, created several accounting systems including the first international system for the International Mission Board. He served as an International Auditor for 20 plus years. In 2016 the Hyldens returned to the USA, where they believe God has called them to found the CAST ministry.
